We got Cleo when she was 3 months old. She was born on the streets right next to our house. I was thinking of becoming a pet parent but I wasn’t sure if I’ll adopt. Cleo kind of made that decision for us.
I remember seeing her for the first time on the road, she was all scrawny and sad. We tried feeding the mom and her litter a few times. Her littermates pushed her away because she was the runt of the lot. She kept getting picked on by the bigger dogs.
The last time we left her on the streets, she whined for us and we just couldn’t sleep at our homes knowing that she was out there.
When she was around 3 months, my family adopted her. It’s the best decision we ever made! When we took her in, she had fever and skin infections. We had to go to the vet many times to keep those rashes under control.
Whenever I took her for a walk, there were many who gave me unsolicited advice. They told me that since she was born on the streets, we can give her any food we want. They would say, ‘why bother so much about her food? She’s a street dog, just give her anything.’
I knew that I didn’t want to compromise with her meals and hence I started my research for the best dog food in India.
Cleo ate all kinds of food so I never really had a problem with new food. I just wanted her to have good food that improves her skin and coat quality, gives her a good amount of energy and a healthy appetite.
I tried many dog foods but I never found anything as good as Goodness.
I chose Goodness because, for its quality, the product is not as expensive. Other products that are around the same quality range need to be specially imported and take forever to come.
Goodness has a range of flavours and Cleo enjoys most of them. Over the last 6 months, I have been feeding her Goodness as well as home-cooked food, and I notice visible changes in her quality of fur and health.
The colour of her tongue is bright red now. She loves to play and go for walkies and she always looks forward to her meal times.
Over the years that I’ve had her, I haven’t had to take her to the vet for anything other than routine vaccinations. It makes me very happy that I stuck to Goodness and did not try anything else.
I also spray the fish oil on her food. It’s so convenient and she loves the taste of it. I think it has helped make her fur softer and shinier.
If you haven’t tried Goodness, I would highly recommend that you give it a try! I think it’s one of the best decisions I made for Cleo.
